Old Rosie – the Original Cloudy Cider
Old Rosie was the name given to Westons Cider very own 1921 Aveling and Porter steam roller, which Norman Weston bought and refurbished in 1971. Still working, she sits in the cider mill yard, in Herefordshire, with her summer filled with visits to steam fairs including the GDSF. Strong, reliable and so loved by everyone in the Westons family they named this cider in her honour. Old Rosie, the cider brand continues to grow, and can be found in both pubs and supermarkets. The liquid is made to a traditional Westons recipe from the 1950’s – it’s a still, medium-bodied and fruity cloudy cider matured from freshly pressed bittersweet apples. Scents of honey and vintage cider barrels, this truly old fashioned cloudy cider is slowly matured and left unfiltered.
