Exhibitors & Trade Stands
The Great Dorset Steam Fair has the largest number of trade stands and exhibitors than
any other county show, totalling 3,000 last year giving a massive choice and selection
for the public, with over £16.3million being spent within the show last year.

Exhibiting
With over 200,000 people attending the show last year and the largest number of Trade Stands and
Exhibitors at any County Show in the UK, in order to stand out from the crowd you will want to be
guaranteed a premium position.
Premium Stands
Being on the front row of the Main Avenue will guarantee enormous footfall and therefore awareness
or sales as The Main Avenue is the thoroughfare from all the different activities to the Trade Stand
areas and other key areas of the Show. Premium Stands can range in size from 12ft to 60ft wide and
either 30ft or 60ft deep.
Activities Areas
If you want a larger area to exhibit in, be adjacent to a specific activity or simply be out of the
melee of the Main Avenue there are many other areas that can accommodate Exhibition stands, for example:
- Campsites – Camping accessories
- Main Ring – The sponsor of the Main Ring
- Tractor Areas – Farm equipment sponsors
- Commercial Vehicles section
- Horse Ring – Equine equipment or services
- Concert stages
You can request for your stand to be placed adjacent to the activity or exhibit of your choice (Please

Exhibitors and Trade Stands
Please note that should you be interested in exhibiting or in taking trading space
in the first instance you will need to send (either by email or by post) full details
of your exhibit or stand etc together with a recent photograph of the same. Don't
forget to also include your name and address. Should your exhibit or stand be of
interest to the show you will then be sent an official application form to complete.
Please note that there is no charge for exhibitors to attend, only for trading related
stands. Information and the prices of respective trading areas available at the
2007 show are as follows:
General Trade Stands
There are over 15 acres of outside space allocated for trade stands at the show
each year. All pitches are ‘open space’ sites. Rents are charged at £21.50
per foot frontage plus VAT (minimum frontage 12ft = £258.00 plus VAT). All
stands are 30ft standard depth. Larger depth stands can be arranged in occasional
circumstances with the overall price adjusted accordingly. Over 500 trade stands
will be present at the 2008 show. Sorry, no electricity available
for stands in this section.
Charity Stands
Rents are £13.50 per ft frontage plus VAT (minimum frontage 12ft = £162
plus VAT). Stands are 30ft standard depth. Sorry, no electricity
available for stands in this section.
Auto Jumble
150 Auto Jumble ‘open space’ pitches are available in this section of
the showground. Rents are £19.00 per ft frontage plus VAT (minimum frontage
12ft = £228.00 plus VAT). Again pitches are 30ft standard depth.

Rural Craft Area
Inside Craft Space - covered craft trading space is available in
the marquees. Rents are £29.00 per ft frontage including VAT (minimum frontage
12ft = £348.00 including VAT). Standard depth of stand 6ft. Tables are available
@ £9.00 each inc. VAT and electricity @ £60.00 inc. VAT. Over 100 stands
will be present within the Rural Craft Marquees.
Outside Craft Space - Rents for outside open craft space is available
at £24.00 per ft frontage including VAT (minimum frontage 12ft = £288.00
including VAT). Standard depth 25ft. Electricity £60.00 inc. VAT.
