The Great Dorset Steam Fair is widely recognised as the World's leading steam and
vintage vehicle preservation event and is attended every year by over 200,000 people
from the U.K and from all over the World!

The show has something for everyone, whatever your interests! Maybe you are a collector,
a steam fanatic, an exhibitor, a heavy horse fan, an avid camper, a music fan or
just on holiday in the south of England at the end of August and fancy an excursion
to what is described as the most remarkable show on earth!
2008 sees the Great Dorset Steam Fair in its 40th year - make a note of the dates
of this year’s show, they are: Wednesday 27th August, Thursday 28th August,
Friday 29th August, Saturday 30th August and Sunday 31st August.
Every year the show expands and new features join the 2000 working exhibits (including
200 working steam engines) on the incredible 600-acre showground! The 40th Anniversary
show is sure to be exciting and to celebrate reaching this milestone there will
be special displays and attractions including a re-creation of the very first event.
